Noelle Woolley

New Braunfels, TX

Noelle Woolley

Noelle had a quiet confidence when around other people. She had a way of sparkling during conversation without needing to take the spotlight from others. She had a broad scope of interests including reading, good food, anime, video games, and sharing her “fun facts.” Photography and traveling were especially important to her, spending a study-abroad in Greece with friends who marveled at her skills with the camera. While she often used photos and other media to express her wit and intelligence, she made others feel the same passion that she had for life.

Indiana Grayson

Winterville, NC

Indiana Grayson

Indiana was definitely a Leo: bold, honest, and loyal. On her social media, she spoke freely about her ups and downs but usually focused on the things that brought her joy. Cute outfits and favorite foods were common - she even gave some helpful tips in her review of the onion rings at Sloppy Joe's in Key West. The thing that brought her the most joy. though, was the indie rock that spoke to her personally. Her favorite artists were daysormay, Tessa Violet, and Hozier and she would go to concerts frequently with her besties, shining like the sun sign she was.

Vanity Williams

Houston, TX

Vanity Williams

According to a friend, Vanity “had a really dope personality outside of just being able to have really educated conversation and speak truth to power about what it means to be a woman, what it means to be a woman of color.” A former Air Force veteran, she was just starting to switch over into a new career by going to nursing school. Many remember her as an advocate for the Black trans community in Houston and a force to be reckoned with, as she loyal to those she loved. She was also fluent in both Spanish and Japanese and had both a broad taste in music and movies and a keen interest in fashion and makeup.

Tai’Vion Lathan

Baltimore, MD

Tai’Vion Lathan

Tai loved everybody and especially loved making them laugh. She was well-known by her family for her cooking skills, making a mean homemade chicken Alfredo as her signature dish. Starting school to become a nurse, she wanted to bring that same warmth she always showed her friends and family to those who needed it the most in their lives. It would be easy to see her cracking up the patients, making recovery a whole lot better.

She loved life and her chosen House, making a profound impact on everyone around her. Vogueing at the memorial service for O’Shae Sibley, Femmie knew how to celebrate life with joy.

Baxter Zachary Hawk

San Diego, CA

Baxter Zachary Hawk

“I like the idea that the body is a vessel, that it’s not necessarily representative of the real you that's inside of it.” - Laura Jane Grace

Baxter had many facets to his identity: punk rocker, Buddhist, leatherman, photographer, poet. He was never shy about any of those aspects of his life, with all of them intertwined and lived out-loud for all the world to see. He merged his Buddhist beliefs with a punk attitude while also often looking to his icon, Laura Jane Grace of Against Me!, for inspiration. He proudly went through the world with his leathers and inspired other trans leathermen in the San Diego scene to be out and proud too. Baxter brought his truest self into the world, helping many more to find theirs in the process.
