In Memoriam
Diamond Cherish Brigman

Diamond was looking to make her life even better and was in the process of job-hunting and resume-building. Her friends described her as having “a lot of energy and was always smiling and personable,” and as a lovable individual determined to make positive changes.

Fae Morganna Barbone
Williamstown, MA
Fae adored the wilderness and found solace in the adventure found through hiking. Having majored in both philosophy and English, she also greatly enjoyed reading and writing poetry in her leisure time. She was also very active in Plymouth Pride, who all knew her to be a “badass” activist and an “awesome mother” to her daughter.
Aurelia A. Legassey
East Providence, RI
A real Renaissance woman, Aurelia had many things she excelled in. She had a passion for playing the trumpet while in high school but also found her voice during her time at Rhode Island College, writing for the school’s paper The Anchor. While she majored in computer science, her articles focused on a variety of topics ranging from trans issues and ADHD to artificial intelligence and ecology. Her writing started to show everyone how her mind worked, fitting for someone who loved solving Rubik’s cubes: swift yet methodical.
Alex Franco
Lehi, UT
Family was important to Alex, especially his siblings. He was known to protect them and make sure they always got gifts at Christmas. He also taught them how to play sports, fitting as Alex excelled in both softball and karate. He was strong in many ways, with his tight squeeze hugs and a personality that was able to tackle others’ problems with both seriousness and a laugh. He made sure to make all of his siblings feel loved, cherished, and protected, no matter where they were or how often they saw him.
Meraxes Medina
Los Angeles, CA
Meraxes loved the Jurassic Park movies, so it only made sense she would work at Universal Studios Hollywood. It also gave her chance to use her unmatched skills as a makeup artist for those who wanted what she offered. Bold and not willing to take anyone's bullshit, she took on the handle “ChunLi” online and showed herself on video standing up to creeps harassing other women. She also used her social media to show off her makeup artistry and expansive knowledge of manufacturers while doing so. She was also proud about her new car, fitting for a fearless go-getter who knew what she wanted and how to have it.
Ty Geissinger “Ty Holiday”
Middletown, OH
Ty played bass in the Cincinnati-area prog-rock band Anaphaunt and was considered by most of that scene’s bands as one of the best musicians they knew. She not only played but music was so much a passion that she taught music to students during the day and organized events such as Burritofest and City Stompers: Prog Night at Northside Tavern. She mixed this talent with her advocacy for local trans youth, even planning fundraiser concerts such the one that eventually memorialized her. The noise she made was loud and joyful and will be remembered by all those who played alongside her.
