In Memoriam

Savannah Williams

Minneapolis, MN

Savannah Williams

Savannah had a large heart and a personality to match. She was willing to do anything to help family and enjoyed being the favorite auntie to her nieces and nephews. Having fun included spending time with her husband of seven years watching movies and listening to Beyonce. She was, as her family kept saying, someone who would literally give them the shoes off her feet if they needed some to wear.

Bernardo Panteleon

Phoenix, AZ

Bernardo Pantaleon

Bernie, as his friends and family knew him, had a knack for home design and organization. It was his creative outlet, and he loved it so much he was even planning on doing interior design for a living. Considered the “rock” of his family, Bernie was exceptionally kind and dedicated. He had been the primary caregiver for his younger siblings and grandparents, all of whom loved him dearly. “Bernie just thought that he had to care for everybody,” recalled a friend. “He was a very caring person.” They supported him in his recent switch from polo shirts to beautiful lashes and nails, finally living as he always felt inside.

Pepper Mychel Peterson

Jacksonville, FL

Pepper Mychel Peterson

Pepper often posted pictures of the sky. Often times at night, occasionally at the beach, she captured the stars and clouds moving through and around each other. Her photos focused on marveling on how something simple as looking upwards and beyond our little world could lead to bigger times. Pepper dreamed big and chose, in her subtle and unique way, to show the rest of us what she aimed towards.

Mariah Ruby Rachel Williams

Oneida, TN

Mariah Ruby Rachel Williams

Mariah had many identities: a Leftist, a gamer, a bookworm, a poet, a Taoist. She enjoyed hanging out with her god child the most and reading to them a variety of children's books. She also made her opinions heard and never felt she had to censor herself or not live her true life.

And for others…
